Facebook Like Button

There are about a half of billion people on Facebook in the world. Your blog articles can spread out to all of them. It’s not a dream, definitely possible reality if you do this, tagging Facebook Like Button. Unfortunately, iWeb doesn’t provide any social plug-ins, but with the use of Replace HTML, you can do as embedding Tweet button. Here, I would like to describe the easiest but rapid way to inform people your web pages by attaching Facebook Like Button. You may need to Like this tutorial as well. :)

Instruction

  • If you don't have your facebook account yet, please sign up, then create your account.
  • Go to this page: http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/plugins/like/
  • There are several options that you can choose. Choose one of them, and customize it.
  • You can grab your embed code (HTML5). Copy the code!
  • Go back to iWeb.
  • Insert a HTML snippet. Then paste the code into HTML snippet box.
  • However here is very important issue. If you are inserting a like button that does NOT assign a specific URL, you must grab your code from below. This is because the HTML snippet is NOT an actual page. It will cause people to share / like a different address. Please recreate your code for iWebsites and paste it into HTML snippet box. (Customize them, and then push "Apply" button. You must resize the HTML snippet size to 450 x 50 or bigger.)

* Like button Wizard for iWebsites (The preview works only 1 time. If you change an option, refresh your web browser.)

* Facebook Like button may not appear in iWeb. Must publish your page to check if it works.
