Paypal Donate Button

Paypal is the most common and easiest pay service in the world. Many non-commercial bloggers or NGO (Non-Governmental Organization) use this Donate Button on their website. I don't know how much funds can be saved from this button. I hope someone would contribute to your organization by donating a penny or a little bit money. Don't expect "Donate" button too much but itself would be better than nothing.

  • Open a web browser, and go to http://www.paypal.com. Then you should sign in paypal to get Donate Button. If you don't have your account yet, you can create your account right now. Paypal is free but a great solution to get paid or pay without worry about security.
  • After you sign in, follow this navigation "Merchant Services > Key Features: Donations"
  • Click "Donations", then you can see the page below:
  • There are several options you can customize. The required field is organization / service name. You can just type your website name or business name. I typed "Beyond iWeb" for this field.
  • Next is to decide the button style. There are three button styles you can grab: Normal Donate Button, Small Donate Button, and Donate Button with credit card logos. Or you can use your own graphics such as your business logo, and product images. All is up to you.
  • You can choose one of them with considering your entire page styles where the Donate button will be added.
  • If you decided, you are ready to grab the source code right now. Click "Create Button", then copy the code.
  • <form action="https://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr" method="post" target="_top">...
  • Please look at the code above. Please add the code highlighted in RED into YOUR CODE.
  • Insert a HTML snippet. Then paste the code into HTML snippet box.
  • Click "Apply" button on the HTML snippet box, and see if your donation button works correctly.
